FAQ

where are you based?

what's your style?

I would describe my style as relaxed, comfortable and fun. I take a candid, documentary approach preferring to watch as things naturally unfold, and snapping away to capture your unique personalities and events. I will sometimes give a little bit of direction if needed for some more posed portraits, but if that's not your thing, that's cool too! I tend to avoid the 'flashy' style in favour of the soft natural light aesthetic (this doesn't mean I don't use flash - I do...but only to fill in light where it's lacking) .In terms of my editing style, I like to keep it fairly natural but I tend to enhance and sharpen warm tones.

I am based out of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. However, I am willing and happy to travel around the surrounding areas. I would love the opportunity to shoot destination weddings too, so if this is something you're interested in, let me know!

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

ARE YOU GOOD WITH KIDS?

I love kids! Although sometimes co-operation from children can be a challenge, don’t worry at all, I think it’s a lot of fun and I have a very relaxed style which seems to work with even the least willing participants, I love watching them run around and have fun. I try to make sessions exciting for them and ask them to silly things that they will enjoy & that make great photos. I am also super patient, so if your kiddos aren’t being the most cooperative, we can try other things that they’re comfortable with! I don’t have any of my own children, but I do have a niece and nephew who I adore!

The number of images you receive depends on the package that you choose. All the edited images from your session will be delivered to you via a personalised online client gallery, where you are able to download the number of images agreed within your chosen package. This means you can choose YOUR favourites.

WHAT IF I DECIDE I WANT MORE PHOTOS THAN I CHOSE IN MY PACKAGE?

WHAT DO THE CLIENT GALLERIES LOOK LIKE?

I am glad you love your gallery, let me know if you’d like to upgrade your package post-session, I definitely don’t want to keep the photos from you if you’d like more.

If you’d like to see an example of a full gallery, please contact me and I can send you one. This is a great way to see how you access the images via my website.

CAN I ORDER PRINTS OR albums from you?

DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

Yes – I require a £50 deposit to secure your booking. Of course, this is then deducted from your package price. For weddings, the required deposit is £250 to secure the date. All deposits are non-refundable.

Yes – this service is available through your client gallery and can be delivered directly to you. However, this service is fulfilled by a third party, not myself.

HOW DO I PAY YOU?

do you have insurance?

Payment for sessions is due by the date of your shoot. An invoice will be sent to you in the run-up to the date, this invoice will detail this information and provide bank details for a direct transfer. I do not accept cash transactions. Full payment for weddings is due 14 days before the event.

I do indeed! If you need proof of this, please contact me.

WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP US?

HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY PHOTOS?

Only marks, spots or things that aren’t normally there! You don’t need me to photoshop you, and you wouldn’t want me to either.

I tend to get overexcited and will try and load, sort and edit your photos as quickly as possible. However, during busier periods it may take up to 21 days for you to receive you photos. However, if it's wedding season this could be up to five weeks. Wedding galleries can take up to 10 weeks during busy periods, but I aim for six weeks! This doesn’t include sneak peaks for weddings, those I try to get to you in a few days so you can update your social media if you want!

HELP! I NEED TO CANCEL MY SHOOT…

What if you need to cancel?

Oh no! Well... things happen and things change, so that is ok. If you need to reschedule, just let me know, and we can work something out. Unfortunately, if you have signed the contract and still cancel completely, your deposit will not be refunded.

I hope this would never happen. It would have to be extreme circumstances for me to cancel a session, for example, accident, illness or an unforeseen family situation. I will do my best to commit to rearranging the session and will be in contact with you about this at the earliest possible opportunity. If this is for a wedding, I will do my best to find you a replacement photographer with a similar style. This is a very unlikely situation but if you have concerns, we can discuss it in more detail.
